Train

The town is very well connected to Florence and Rome. There are around 22 trains to the capital and 45 to Florence every day. The trains go also through Chiusi/Chianciano Terme and Orvieto before they reach Arezzo. If you want to get to Perugia or Assisi, you need to change trains at Terontola/Cortona. The trip to Perugia takes approximately a bit over two hours, while Assisi is 2 hours and 40 minutes away by train. The local railway station in Arezzo is positioned at Piazza della Repubblica, close to a number of hotels.

Bus

Bus

The town is well connected to Florence (SITA buses) and Siena (LFI buses). The trip to Florence takes a bit over an hour and a half, while to Siena you will travel an hour and a half. Buses stop in front of the railway station.

Car

Car

From Florence and Rome you need to take Autostrada A1. There are several car parks along Via Niccolo Aretino and most of them are paid. The car parks are situated behind the railway station within the southwest edge of the walls and Via Alberti. Free car parks are available on Via Pietri and Via XXV Aprile.
